Seeking to diversify their offering, our client approached Flex Planning to assist in the management of their planning application.

Balhannah Wine Estate in the Adelaide Hills, covers 23.3 hectares of established vineyards and has now received Planning Approval to welcome visitors to the property. A new cellar door, lawned area, decking, multi-purpose space, associated car parking and landscaping will offer refined settings for tastings and seasonal plates, alongside boutique tourist accommodation nestled quietly among the vines.

The project has been designed by Fore Design as a quiet response to the landscape, offering understated, refined spaces for tastings and seasonal dining. Features include a providore, a private tasting room, a cellar, and a lawn with views of the surrounding area. The multi-purpose space will support exhibitions and creative partnerships.

Six premium accommodation chalets sit just beyond the cellar door. Positioned to provide a sense of seclusion, the chalets offer beautiful views, capturing the dawn light and the wider horizon.

The proposal will complement and support the existing primary production activities of Balhannah Estate Estate, offering premium visitor experiences, without compromising the locality’s pleasant rural character.
