Our clients Hahndorf Flower Farm have received Planning Consent for the establishment of their flower farm, which includes farm tours, shop and associated shed and carparking.
Early in June 2025, Sean Elliott – Senior Town Planner from Flex Planning – attended the Council Assessment Panel (CAP) on behalf of our client, to respond to community feedback received during the Public Notification process. Planning Consent for the proposal was granted at the Council Assessment Panel.
Our planning team addressed community concerns that included operational details, interface between land uses, traffic and road safety, heritage character, bushfire and emergency access, water usage, environmental impact and waste management.
In successfully addressing these at the CAP, Sean said that:
“…the proposal reinforces and supports the area’s historical land use patterns and environmental character. It represents a thoughtful and respectful integration of horticulture, heritage, and community engagement, ensuring the cultural narrative of the region remains alive and accessible.”
This unique venture by long time locals will add another (colourful) layer to the fabric of Hahndorf’s tourist offerings and we are look forward to seeing their continued success.
